Kraft und Licht Record's debut release is a various artists EP, containing four original tracks. Starting off the EP is “A Plumber's Secret” by Kraft und Licht's resident “Merlyen”. It's an electro/techno production that starts out with watery soundscapes and bubbly percussion elements.
The break feels like diving under water and when it finally drops it is like riding a perfect wave.
The second and third tracks on the EP are “Saibõgu” and “Night crawler” by “Moya”.
"Saibõgu" is a high energy track which is created for a futuristic world where cyborgs have taken over and are about to destroy our future. The lost human race longs for a last dance before the end of the world.
“Night crawler” was born during an exploration of different musical styles. This track is influenced by the older dubstep styles combined with drum ‘n bass breaks. Moya’s older sister used to tell him stories about dubstep parties from the time there was a close dubstep community, when the parties were still small and underground, but the vibe was huge. This track was created for it to be played in suchintimacy.
Last but not least is “Captain Chaos'' by Scarce. This track screams for the re-opening of nightclubs after the shut-down due to Corona. It’s about a moment that everybody misses so badly. The flashing lights, sweaty people, smokey atmosphere in a concrete building we would visit every other week. Imagine this track being played in a packed club, at a time when people can’t distinguish left from right anymore.
